Pamplemouse or grapefruit. My memory to this fruit goes almost 30 years back when my Grand Father was still alive. He was that strong man who was so proud of his generation and his achievements. He was that guy that people instictively would draw to and listen. A great guy with humble start.
He used to sit and watch all of us playing in his back garden full of different tropical fruits. Like a ‘verger’ Though my favorite was that big pamplemouse tree with big boobs fruits hanging on them. The reason I loved it is less for the fruit and more for the white flowers. We weren’t allowed to touch or shake the trees otherwise the flowers would fall off thus won’t reproduce fruits. But I used to sneakily touch the flowers, The fragrance that spread was just magical and soothing. Yes that magical tropical feel that you yearn after a long winter with the dead. (Game of Thrones anybody!!).

The reason for my pamplemousse story is simply because I have officially bought a new silvercrest juicer over the weekend and I seriously do need a good detox and this citrusy delight is one of the bests I tasted so far.Check the original recipe here grapefruit, orange and lemon detox juice recipe — lemons to lemonade.

Aww thank you. Yes I will.
In Goa, India, grapefruit is called papanas….when I read about papelmouse, it reminded me of that! I have never seen a tree with the fruit hanging! How wonderful! The detox juice looks awesome, Mira!
