Ok, in the weekly shopping this week I made an unusual purchase of a forbidden item. A sauce that contain sugar. Yeah yeah, I know but I was ready to overlook that little indiscretion because this flavour brings back very fond memories of eating out with the family. The day after I got married to that man, he took the whole family of about 20 of us to Nandos, Looking at the sauce I had a nostalgic moment and the memories came flooding back. The newly married bride glowing with so much love and happiness. Anyhow love I heard is not a feeling but a verb. If it’s a verb then I have to put it into practice. I mean if I love Nandos I have to do something about it. If I can’t go there as often as I’d like I can at least recreate the ambiance at home. Well Heinz peri peri sauce is not the same as Nandos peri peri but it does have that zingy taste and heat that stirs those tingly feelings in your tongue.
If you are a heat lover and looking to eat out with the family you could give nandos a try but if you can’t there’s always Heinz peri peri sauce available in Tesco. Actually now that I think of it there’s a Nandos sauce in Tesco as well. I’m not sure why I bought the Heinz one, maybe it was cheaper?
