Meat Balls And Spaghetti

 What can defeat a nicely homemade meatball? Either to eat with toasted Pitta bread or with pasta. Meatballs has so far been a favorite in my household specially when daddy makes it. I couldn’t be happier, with plenty of leftovers that saves me from cooking the following day.  

Meat Balls  And   Spagetti

Meat Balls  And   Spagetti


Pork mince 500g

Breadcrumbs 1 1/2 bread (blitz in a blender) or store bought

Egg 1

Parmesan Cheese


Onion 1

Bay leaves 2

Passata 1

Peeled Plum tomatoes 1 can

Garlic 3 cloves

Stock cube 1

Thyme, Sage, Parsley


  1. Into a big bowl add the mince meat, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. 
  2. Don't be shy get your hands dirty and mix all up.
  3. Roll them into small balls. You should get around 25 balls.
  4. Heat some oil in a big pot. 
  5. Add the bay leaves. 
  6. Add the meatballs and fry them for 2-3 minutes or till brown to the outside. 
  7. Add the chopped onions.  Cook till soft. 
  8.  Add the garlic, passata and the  can tomatoes.
  9.  Crumble the stock cube. 
  10. Add the rest of the herbs. Simmer till the meatballs are cooked. 
  11. Check the seasoning.
  12. Serve with any pasta of your choice.
