Thank You Chilly Moo
Set up by two old school friends, Joanna and Clare, Chilly Moo is Irish and is 100% natural. Chilly Moo is available in selected Tesco, Dunnes and Supervalu stores and come in 2 sizes. The 500ml carton retails at €4.95 and the 120ml is €2.30 (includes a spoon in the lid).
There are times when this food blogging malarkey really pays off. This is one of those times. Last week I received a delivery by Joanna herself at my door.
I love getting stuff in the post. Actually, I love it a bit too much to be honest, my internet shopping has been getting a bit out of hand of late, thank God I don’t have a credit card. Anyway, back to my parcel. I knew I was going to receive a sample to review from Chilly Moo (that rhymes) but I was more than chuffed to find that the sample wasn’t just a sample sized sample but a truck load sized sample! They sent me 3 large tubs and 4 small ones including Strawberry, Strawberry and Banana and Mixed Berry. A cute little frozen bag with an ice-cream scoop. Frozen yogurt may not bring you happiness but it’ll bring you close.
Frozen yogurt isn’t ice cream, that’s the first thing I should say, though you can’t help comparing them. Ice cream tastes good, there’s no getting away from that fact but it does leave you with that bloated unhealthy feeling. Chilly Moo frozen yogurt is different. Because it is low fat (despite using full fat milk and yogurt), gluten free, packed with fruit and sweetened only with fruit juices you can feel pretty good about and after eating it.
The kids loved it and as you may have realised already I loved it too. I was happy to give Chilly Moo to the kids as I knew it wasn’t packed with sugar and fat. As treats go this one is pretty healthy. If I was buying a treat for the kids on a hot summer’s day I would be far happier about buying them Chilly Moo than ice cream or sugar loaded ice pops. In fact the small tub comes with a spoon in the tub which is handy if you are out and about. Chilly Moo gets a big thumbs up from me.
If you want to get more updates on Chilly Moo give Chilly Moo’s Facebook Page a thumbs up.
I was not paid for this post, as usual all opinions are my own.
