Cheer up it’s Saturday! Saturdays are a bit easier on some of us. Well to make it more vibrant and refreshing for you I made you or made myself my grapefruit, apple, spinach and date green smoothie. There’s so much to say about a green smoothie but this one is freezily good. Freezing? I froze the grapefruit and apple the day before so drinking a spinach smoothie doesn’t taste so urrgg, acidity from the grapefruit and sweetness from the apple balances this smoothie so perfectly that you won’t even realize that there is spinach in it.
Smoothies are another way to bring some more beneficial nutrients and fiber to your diet. It’s easy to make once you know which flavors you prefer. Chuck it all into a heavy blender and you are good to go with a much healthier and happier lifestyle. These little changes could make a big difference to your day. Instead of a can of fizzy drink you could put some fruit in your body, I am sure or hope every household always has some in the kitchen. From banana to parsley, cucumber to coriander you can always vary the ingredients to your taste and live a bountiful, healthy and energetic lifestyle. Our body is not a machine, our body needs feeding and it needs fed proper nutrients.
If you have been chronically tired and sleepy lately you need to analyze what your body is saying to you. Listening to our own self, but listening to our own body is usually the last thing we would choose to do in this hectic life. But trust me my friends our body can heal itself but you need to feed the body with more real food. Real fresh God given real food.
Grapefruit, Apple, Spinach and Date Smoothie
handful of spinach
1 cup of water or coconut water
1 tea spoon of hemp meal
- Wash and slice the apple. Peel the grapefruit and remove the segments carefully. Add the grapefruit and the apple in a freezer bag and freeze.
- When you are ready to use add the ingredients into a heavy blender and blend till you obtain a smooth paste. Add more water if it's too thick. Serve immediately
